Truthfully, there's nowhere better to get in touch with your body and soul than the desert.
You might remember my post in this blog from November 2014, where I raved about our favorite spot in the desert, so you can trust me when I tell you, that though I've travelled the world, this is where my mind is completely relaxed, it is my absolute "zen" spot. If I have to try and explain it better, I’ll say that I feel serene, I feel so connected, and I am able to clear my mind and focus on what’s important in life.
This time around, we've decided to join a couple of friends, and follow them to their go to place in Sinai, Egypt. Sinai is a perfect place, a pure joy, and a place where the Red Sea meets the desert in an almost heavenly way.
We were able to dive in clear blue seawater, dotted by magnificent corals while vibrant colorful fish were swimming around us, inspiring my designer self in so many ways. The surroundings were breathtaking, sandy hills in vivid colors touching the sunny blue skies, it was the perfect set for my morning yoga routine, so we were able to capture rare moments of my friend, my teacher and Ripple ambassador, Liron and I practicing, wearing all Ripple.
This is also an opportunity for me to try the garments I design for you, and after doing a 'Downward Dog' in the middle of the desert, I can honestly say, the natural fabrics are soft and easy to workout with, hugging your body where they need to, relaxed in other places, qualities that allow you and your body to breathe.
What is your go to place, where you relax and let go? I hope you have one!
